Study Tours

No matter how big the river, it still wants to grow.          –Traditional Wisdom

We believe it is important for each person to continue to learn and pursue self-mastery and a closer relationship with the Divine. To help those who seek a greater and more personal understanding of their origins, legacies, and power, we specialize in annual tours of Ghana. A customized tour can be arranged for you, your family, church, fraternity/sorority, or other organization. We welcome groups of 8-50, ages seven and above.

Nana Kweku has made close to 50 trips to Ghana, and he has been traveling there for 30 years. His experiences in Ghana and his knowledge of the country–from its capital to remote villages–make him a trustworthy and careful guide. We work with Princeworth Tours in Ghana, and they have been providing excellent service to travelers for over 45 years. They truly understand the needs of US travelers.

There is a great deal to process when one travels to West Africa. Our tour schedule blends learning, relaxation, and fun. We have found that the demands of the West are more exhausting than many people realize. We work with expert guides to offer travelers well-paced activities, small group discussions, and meditative time.  We travel to well-known locations and lesser-known, but equally important sites. We always include time for music, dancing, and shopping. The tours are full, but not overwhelming. Even if you have visited Ghana before, our study tours provide unique insights and opportunities to provide a once-in-a-lifetime journey. Your guides will help you understand the singular beauty that is Ghana.

Options for Your Travel

We can arrange for travel to the North of Ghana, a little explored area for study tours. There, participants can visit the oldest mosque in Ghana, travel on safari in Mole National Park, and explore some of interior slave camps.

We also partner with experts in travel to Liberia and Senegal. When sociopolitical conditions and interest permit, tours of these areas can be arranged.

Recreational aspects of the tour are always tailored to meet the needs and desires of participants.

When I traveled with Nana to Ghana in 2016, I declared that I would be back. This 2019 trip was that promise being fulfilled, as I wanted to celebrate turning 40 in the Motherland! This trip was extra special and significant because I was able to share it with two close friends, who counted the experience just as monumental as I had. There were eight of us on this trip, and although I only knew my girlfriends prior; everyone soon became family. We ate together, laughed together, and cried together. I have never had a more enjoyable and meaningful trip! The care and intention Nana has for each sojourner is why I recommend anyone who wants to experience Ghana, to travel with him and his team.

There were a lot of emotional moments and Nana helped us unpack our feelings which allowed for a great connection to the experiences as well as healing. I would love to return home again and would DEFINITELY recommend anyone looking for an authentic experience to Ghana to travel with Nana.

Sitting here watching the video was almost like experiencing it again.  It was truly an experience and I am glad that I was able to take the tour with you and the others who were with us.  I have a photo of the umbrella rock as my screen saver at work, so I am reminded every day of the time I spent there.

I traveled with Temple of Nyame Dua to Ghana in August 2016; and to say the least, it was life-changing. The trip left me with memories I will hold dear for the rest of my life. The detail of thought and accommodations offered by Nana Kweku and his team allowed me to relax and absorb all the Motherland had to give me. From the slave castles to the waterfall, it was the perfect blend of education and leisure. I would recommend this trip to anyone who wants to experience Ghana by someone whose knowledge and love for the country is evident at every turn.

I had to just stop, and take a moment to tell you how amazed I at the thought that I traveled to the land of my ancestors. I am amazed and eternally grateful. The trip changed my life!
